Can we limit our work arena or vision? Nobody can and I believe a person can do lots of visionary works and can achieve so many targets in a single span of life. After conquering the top of the world, the Everest, now I dream of few other goals to accomplish. Through all the works, my target is to heighten the confidence level of the youths that they start believing they also can do anything. I would like to help the youth to understand about their power for achieving targets.
Swimming the Bangla Channel
Among them, I want to swim past the Bangla Channel in Bangladesh – a 14.4 kilometre sea passage from Teknaf to Saint Martin’s Island. Few other courageous youths will be included in the team.
Seven Summit
In abroad, I want to accomplish the Seven Summits – the seven magical mountains that have been climbed by a select few. The seven highest peaks of the seven continents are Africa’s Kilimanjaro (5,895m/19,336ft), North America’s Denali (6,194m/20,316ft), Europe’s Elbrus (5,642m/18,505ft), South America’s Aconcagua (6,942m/22,770ft), Oceania’s Carstensz Pyramid (4,884m/16,020ft), Antarctica’s Vinson (4,897m/16,062ft) and Asia’s Everest (8,848m/29,035ft). Eventually, I climbed the highest peak of the world which is also the highest peak of Asia. So, my plan is to climb the rest six mountains within next 2 years, i.e. within 2012.
Planting 160 million saplings
As we all know – Bangladesh is highly vulnerable to the effects of climate change, so my target is to make the country capable to tackle the effects through planting 160 million saplings across the country every year. The number is equivalent to the population of Bangladesh. My target is to engage all the people of the country in the sapling planting scheme. I will focus mainly to the native varieties. This scheme will run in three phases – in first phase, my target is to achieve the 160 million mark. In second, we will replace the harmful trees for our country. And in third phase, our target is to revive the forest to its original land and to take the standard of 25 percent forests of the total area of the country.
